Ingredients
- 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
- 1/3 cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 (8 ounce) packages of crescent roll dough
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 1 tablespoon white sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
-
Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees and prepare a large sheet pan with parchment paper.
-
In a small bowl, beat together the cream cheese, 1/3 cup white sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. (I use an electric hand mixer but you could use a spoon if you don’t have a mixer.) Set the mixture aside.
-
Open the packages of crescent roll dough and do NOT unroll them. Simply slice the roll into 8 equal pieces.
-
After slicing, place the crescent roll discs on the baking sheet and spread them out a little bit with your fingers so you can see the layers.
-
Melt the butter and brush over each danish.
-
Take the back of a spoon or your fingers and push a little well down into the center of each danish.
-
Mix together the cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle lightly over the top of the danish.
-
Fill the center of each danish with a hefty scoop of the cream cheese mixture.
-
Bake in the oven at 15-16 minutes or just until the outside of the danishes are golden brown.
-
Let cool for about 10 minutes and enjoy!
-
You can store these in the refrigerator and just pop in the microwave for a few seconds to enjoy!
